Fix The Screen Mirror or Cast Not Working On The Samsung TV

1) Restart Devices

3) Check the Streaming app plan

Another main concern is subscription-based plans. Some of the Subscription-based plans do not allow you to watch the content on TV on basic plans. So, something else will be needed if you are trying to cast or mirror an app like Netflix or Disney+ with a basic plan from phone to TV.

4) Use the same Wifi-network

If your Samsung TV does not appear in the list of devices when casting or screen mirroring from your Android or iPhone, there are chances that your TV and Phone are connected to different Wi-Fi networks. Your phone and Samsung TV must connect to the same Wi-Fi network to cast or screen mirror to work. To check with the Wi-Fi settings on your phone, Goto Wi-Fi settings. To check on Samsung TV, Goto Settings>> Click on General >> then Network>> Next Open Network Settings>> Click on Wireless option. The Wi-Fi network your Samsung TV is using will have a blue tick mark.

5) Use 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi

If your Router supports 2.4 and 5Ghz Wi-Fi networks, you need to connect your Samsung TV and phone device to a 2.4Ghz network instead of a 5Ghz network. Some Samsung TV hardware isn’t compatible with a 5Ghz network.

6) Re-enable Airplay on TV

Samsung TV supports both Casting and Mirroring from the iPhone using Airplay. If the iPhone is unable to cast or screen mirror, there is a chance that the Airplay feature might be disabled on your TV. Follow the below steps to enable the Airplay feature on Samsung TV:

  • Goto Settings on your Samsung TV.
  • Click on the General option and Select Apple Airplay settings.
  • If Airplay is off, Select it, and it should turn on. Now, try to mirror or cast from your iPhone.
  • If the Airplay feature is already on, Select it to turn off. Restart your TV and then enable the Airplay again.

7) Use the proper steps to cast or screen Mirror

Open a supported app like YouTube to cast a video from an iPhone or Android phone. Tap on the cast icon at the top and select your Samsung TV. Choose the “Allow on your TV” option or enter the Code if asked. If you don’t find the cast option in an app on your iPhone, press the share button, select Airplay, and select your Samsung TV. Screen mirror your iPhone to Samsung TV, Open Control Center>> Tap the Screen Mirror button; choose your Samsung TV. Open Quick Settings>> Tap on the Screen mirror to mirror an Android phone to a Samsung TV.

8) Reset paired Apple devices

Even if your Airplay feature didn’t help, you should re-pair your Samsung TV and iPhone. If the iPhone isn’t casting or mirroring to Samsung TV, do the settings Goto Settings>> General>> Apple Airplay Settings>> Require Code? Select Reset Paired Devices. You will get a confirmation screen. Choose Remove. Then, re-connect the iPhone to the TV.
